PARTICIPANT DECLARATION
Organizer: Sports Association „Horizont".
1. FITNESS TO PARTICIPATE
I declare that I am physically and mentally fit for the race I have chosen, that I am not aware of any medical condition that would make participation dangerous to my health, and that I have chosen the distance according to my current ability. The organizer has warned me not to take part if I am not prepared.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
I am aware that road running carries risks that even the best organization does not remove entirely — falls, collisions with other participants, strains or sprains, and the effects of exertion, weather and road surface. I take part at my own responsibility and accept those risks.
3. THE ORGANIZER'S LIABILITY
The organizer is liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and in every other case where the law does not permit liability to be excluded or limited; this declaration neither excludes nor limits that liability (Article 265 of the Serbian Law on Obligations).
Beyond that, the organizer is not liable for damage arising from the risks listed in clause 2, from my failure to follow the race rules and the organizer's instructions, or for loss of or damage to belongings I did not hand over for safekeeping.
4. RACE RULES
I undertake to follow the race regulations, the instructions of officials, marshals and other race staff, and the traffic arrangements on the course. I accept that the organizer may withdraw me from the race if it judges that continuing endangers my health or the safety of other participants.
5. FIRST AID
I consent to the race medical staff providing me with first aid if needed and, if necessary, arranging my transport to a medical facility.
6. RACE NUMBER
The race number is issued to me and may not be passed to anyone else. A result achieved under someone else's number is annulled.
7. PHOTOGRAPHS AND RECORDINGS
The race is a public sporting event. Photographs and recordings made during the race are published to report on and document the event, and to present the race in future editions — under the law permitting publication of a recording made at a public gathering, and on the organizer's legitimate interest (Article 12(1)(6) of the Serbian Personal Data Protection Act).
If I do not want a recording in which I am identifiable to be used, it is enough to write to [email protected] — we remove it without delay and without asking for reasons.
Use of my name and image in a third party's advertising, or for purposes beyond presenting this race, requires my separate, explicit consent.
An identifiable recording of a minor participant is used for promotional purposes only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
8. PERSONAL DATA
My data is processed to organize the race and perform the registration contract, including timing and publication of the start list and results. Recipients, retention periods and my rights are set out in the organizer's privacy policy.
9. MINOR PARTICIPANTS
For a participant under 18, this declaration is given on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian, confirming consent to participation, the child's fitness to take part, acceptance of the race rules, and consent to first aid.
By this declaration the parent does not waive the child's property rights (Article 193 of the Serbian Family Act). A minor participant's start packet is collected by the parent or guardian.
